  • Eating out may be the norm in your routine office days, but the same doesn’t apply when you are pregnant. It is best to carry your snacks and food as your immune system is week during this time and you are vulnerable to diseases and infections.
  • Taking small breaks is immensely important. Try some deep breathing exercising or take a short walk after every 2 hours.
  • Sit straight consciously. Maintaining a healthy sitting posture is essential. In case your legs are experiencing some swelling, you can elevate your feet with a footrest.
  • Normally, you take the stairs rather than the elevator to get some exercise, but now is not the time. At this stage, you definitely don’t need any strenuous exercise so you should use the lift. Preserve your energy rather than tiring yourself out.
  • Wave goodbye to the gallons of coffee you drink or the cigarettes you smoke. Nicotine and caffeine are extremely dangerous for your baby so you need to stay away from them no matter how tempting they might seem.
  • This is not the time to be a superwoman. It is great that you are pregnant and still managing your work. However, you have to understand that your body needs rest, which means there is no need to overdo. Cut back the long hours.
  • Drinking a lot is recommended. What? Yes, this is true in the case of water and fresh juices. No hard drinks are allowed, though. You have to stay hydrated in order to avoid bouts of nausea and cramps. It can also help with flatulence.
  • Always keep your emergency number on your desk as a precaution.
